On arrival I was acknowledged and checked in promptly. The housekeeper/assistant whose name escapes me, was friendly and happy and without fuss showed me to my room and kindly organised a fan for me for the night. The room appeared to be newly decorated and was clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable too. There is a kettle in the room with tea, coffee etc. towels and a good powerful shower. All in all I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. I would use Gainsborough Hotel again.

Lovely staff, have stayed here on three occasions now due to visiting a friend who lives nearby. Have stayed in room 4 twice and room 13 once. Room 4 is perfect, the TV has freeview and on demand so I was able to log into my Channel 5 account and watch tv programmes on there as well as the freeview channels too. Stayed for two nights and room was cleaned each day and tea/coffee was refilled too. Beds are really comfy and the plugs and light switches are in the headboard in room 4 so you can easily charge your phone and turn the lights off without having to get up out of bed.

Always have a great stay at this hotel! Nice and clean, and great location also. The rooms have been refurbished and are all modern looking and well decorated, it is obvious a lot of hard work has been put in to renovating the property. The beds are lovely, spacious and comfortable and was great being able to use a smart TV with Netflix etc. The rooms are also quiet so we always have a peaceful sleep! The manager Sunil and the staff are always very polite and professional and help us with anything we needed during our visit. Great value for money and will definitely be returning! Also very handy having free parking at the rear of the hotel.

Great place to stay, good value for money, the room and bathroom were both clean to a good standard and the bed was very comfy. Great that there is a tv in the room also. The lady on reception was very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Will defiantly be staying again.

Sunil is a decent manager who ensures the comfort and resolves the issues in no time. One of bestest hotel located in the center of town. Newly built rooms are spacious, clean and hygiene bathroom with all the modern amenities. Safety covered with CCTV . Big TV and good speed wifi does the fantastic job. Quite rooms, sound sleep and Early check-ins and Late checkout is wonderful. Secure FREE parking is a plus. Heron , B&M , Tesco and Lidl , petrol pump are close by . Already thinking to re-book my stay at Gainsborough hotel.

The property was well situated and clean. There were shops, take-aways and pubs close by. I slept well and it was inexpensive. There was also secure parking around the back.

Mr. Sunil is a quite a professional Manager and respects guests with a smile. He upgraded my room and provided a room according to my requirement. The late check in was fabulous. Big size comfy bed and washroom is quite spacious and clean. Love the Big TV that comes with Netflix. Had a peaceful sleep even on the weekend. Location is central and Free secure car park is an advantage . Thanks Sunil . I will come and visit your Gainsborough hotel soon . My best recommendation for Gainsborough Hotel. Keep it up.

Hotel is trying to rebuild itself under new ownership after previous issues, staff are very friendly and helpful. And there is limited secure parking
